Six Crazy Ways For Driving Traffic To Your Blog

By Elusoji Sodeeq   Posted at  8/11/2013 03:52:00 AM   SEO Tips 3 comments

As a blogger, what determines the success of your blog is the amount of traffic your site can generate. Large amount of traffic to your blog is one of your utmost goal if you have set out on the blogging journey. At first, driving traffic to your blog might seem difficult but as time goes by and with a considerable amount of work, generating traffic to your blog will become easier.
The catch here is to try many ways and see what works best for you.
  • Create Quality content:

Quality content will generally improve organic traffic to your blog. No matter what, great and quality content is the biggest deciding factor for your blog.

  •  Word of Mouth:

As traditional as simple words of mouth can seem, you will be surprised at the amount of traffic can reach your site just by telling people to visit your blog. Tell friends, tell families, colleagues and the most of all, tell them to tell their friends and let the chain continue.
  • Guest Posting:

Follow bloggers who are in the same field as you. Read their blog posts and drop useful comments. By properly doing this, you will be generating a good amount of traffic to your blog and also increases search engine ranking.

  • Guest Blogging:

By writing useful and unique articles for other bloggers, you are doing you and your blog a lot of favours. When guest blogging, you will allowed to include a backlink to your blog, and also link to some of your social media accounts. If the readers find your article useful and unique enough, they will click your link and will want to know more about you.

Social Media:

When just starting to blog,-no offense- but Google is not your friend. Do not focus all your energy on generating organic traffic at first, you need to realize the fact that most of your traffic will come from social media sites if properly used.
Create social relationship, join forums and interact with fellow bloggers. help people out and give out useful information and don't forget to include your link in your posts. Let people know you are real.
Social media is a very useful tool for bloggers if properly used.

Hold a Blog Competition:

Holding a blog contest can drive a considerably large amount of traffic to your blog. I won't be going in depth to explain how to hold contest or when to hold one, that's a post for another day.

Last Words: Which ever method you are using to generate traffic to your blog, don't spam, it is irritating to both humans and search engine robots.
